2D Game Modes

2D game modes are Gimkit game modes where students explore 2D worlds with little blobby characters called Gims.

If you're playing a game mode with little blobby characters, you're playing a 2D game mode.

2D modes can be more complex, strategic, and engaging than traditional game modes. Or, they can just be fishing.

You select and play 2D game modes the same way you select traditional modes. Just click Play on the kit you want to use and choose the mode you want from our mode picker.

Your selected mode will have a yellow outline around it. Once you've selected your game mode, click Continue in the upper right corner of the mode picker.

As a note, Cosmetics are only available to earn and use in 2D game modes. If you want your students to earn XP so they can purchase Cosmetics, you'll want to be sure to use a 2D game mode.
