If you don't get a password reset email from us, your school is likely blocking our emails or sending them to spam.

Why does Gimkit charge for Pro Subscriptions?

In general, we have to charge for our memberships so we can operate, maintain, and improve Gimkit.

We've decided not to allow ads in Gimkit or raise money from outside investors. This approach means we can build Gimkit for educators and students rather than marketers or venture capitalists. The tradeoff is that we rely on support from our members and their schools to keep Gimkit going.

Our Free Plan, Gimkit Basic, allows educators to create and edit content as much as they need. However, games can only be hosted with 5 players or fewer and new assignments cannot be created while on Gimkit Basic.

All new Gimkit accounts are given a 30-day trial of Gimkit Pro so educators can try out the paid version of Gimkit and fully explore everything Gimkit offers.

Although some educators pay for their own subscriptions, we'd prefer that educators never have to pay out of pocket.

Since January 2020, we've helped tens of thousands of educators get covered by their schools and districts. One way we've done that is by having one of the most affordable, easiest-to-purchase group license systems in EdTech.

Whether it's just you or a larger group, we'd love to help you get your Gimkit subscription covered. You can reach out to us anytime here.

Thank you for your support in helping us build and maintain Gimkit, now and for the future!

How do I cancel or upgrade my Gimkit Subscription?

You can cancel your Subscription or upgrade anytime by going to the Settings section of your account and clicking on Plan & Billing in the left panel.

Canceling your Gimkit Subscription will turn off Auto-renew and keep the Subscription running thru the time you paid for.

Learn more about canceling your subscription and how to do it here.

What happens to my Kits when I upgrade/downgrade to/from Gimkit paid Subscriptions?

No matter which Gimkit plan you move to, you'll keep all of the Kits, Assignments, Classes, Classes, and Seasons you've created.

What are Gimkit's Subscription options?

We offer two Gimkit paid plans:

Gimkit Pro - Annual
Gimkit Pro Pass - Monthly

Gimkit Pro is our annual Subscription. Gimkit Pro is automatically billed once a year at $59.88.
Gimkit Pro Pass is our monthly Subscription. Gimkit Pro Pass is automatically billed monthly at $9.99.

Both Gimkit Pro and Pro Pass have the same benefits over Gimkit's free plan:

Host games with more than 5 players
Create Assignments for your students to play on their own time
Create Audio questions
Upload images

What's the better deal, Gimkit Pro annual or Gimkit Pro monthly?

Gimkit Pro annual will save you money over Pro monthly if you plan on using Gimkit for more than 6 months out of 12.

Pro annual = 12 months for $59.98 total; 6 months X $9.99 monthly = $59.94 total
