Cosmetics explained

Cosmetics are a progression and reward system that helps keep students engaged in Gimkit over time.

Players gain XP by playing 2D game modes.

As you gain XP, you'll level up. Every time you level up, you'll earn 100 GimBucks.

Visit the Item Shop to purchase in-game items with GimBucks. Unspent GimBucks are saved from week to week for you to use when you're ready. They don't go away unless you spend them.

In-game items do not provide advantages. They're cosmetic improvements only that allow you to play 2D modes with different characters, or Gims.

You can view and select items you've purchased in your Locker whenever you want.

To keep students from playing too much Gimkit, we have some weekly limits in place. You can level up 15 times per week. The Item Shop rotates weekly as well.

XP, levels, and the Item Shop reset Wednesdays at 2 pm EST.

Everything related to Cosmetics, including XP & level information, your Locker, and the Item Shop, is accessible anytime by clicking Rewards from the header anywhere in Gimkit.

Or, in-game, click the Rewards button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.

Cosmetics are available for both educator and student accounts.

If you don't want Cosmetics to be used or available in your games, go to Settings > Game Settings and disable Cosmetics.

When Cosmetics are disabled, special Gims, trails, and stickers will be disabled. Students will still earn XP, but Rewards will not be available in-game.
