XP & leveling up
XP, or experience points, are the foundation of Cosmetics.
You gain XP in 2D game modes by completing specific actions, including answering questions correctly.
As you gain XP, you level up. Leveling up earns you GimBucks, which you'll use to purchase items from the Item Shop.
To ensure students aren’t playing Gimkit for hours on end, we have a weekly limit on how much XP you can gain. The limit resets on Tuesdays at 7 pm EST.
Each level is 1,000 XP. You can level up 15 times per week, for a weekly limit of 15,000 XP.
To view your XP and level, click into Cosmetics from your dashboard or the button at the upper right of your screen in-game.
